Live Bus Tracking Beyond the Metros

Real-time public bus tracking exists in Delhi, Bengaluru, and a handful of other big cities, but almost nowhere in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns where buses are often the only affordable public transport and schedules are the least reliable. The GPS hardware is cheap now - the gap is a shared platform smaller transit authorities can adopt without building their own from scratch.

My hometown's bus schedule is basically a rumor passed between regulars. Would use this daily.

Chalo and a couple of others already cover some Tier-2 cities, but coverage is still really patchy.
